"I Sold My First Thousand Dollar Knife!"

At a young age, I began working on music and collecting knives.  Then a family friend, Earl Dillon, introduced me to the world of customizing knives. Like a sculptor working with clay, Earl Dillon customized knives made by metal smiths and knife makers such as Chuck Staple the first to sell a knife over the price of "twelve thousand dollars" and several other knife makers known round the world. He created works of art by adding fancy file work and sculpting exotic woods for each knife he was given or created himself.

Years later after becoming a disabled paramedic and suffering from depression, Earl Dillon, shortly before he died, spent countless hours taking me under his arm teaching me the secret of file work, shaping and preparing exotic woods and using countless trade secrets to create one of a kind knives for many well known makers like Chuck, whom already made perfect knives. I am proud to say, " Chuck Stapel is a dear friend and now I am proud to be under his guidance."

I am developing my skills, sharing my joy and passion while giving back to charities through knives

Thank you Earl and Chuck Stapel!

Repair on African Hand Made Knife  on 1/14/2011

A while back I lost my home and most everything in it due to a fire. I was ready to throw out a knife I really liked, when a friend told me about Kris. I turned the knife over to my friend who passed it along to Kris. He contacted me and asked if I would like to restore it to new condition but advised me to keep the character. I left it all up to him to do as he saw fit. When I finally met Kris and he handed me the knife I was blown away. I was unaware of some of the beauty of the knife I had never noticed before. I am completely satisfied with the restoration!

He also showed me knives he was making and I want to say his workmanship is incredible to say the least.

Thank you Kris, David

My Knives are literally my canvas. No two knives are or will be alike like a painting.  I do the work as it comes to me while spending time with each particular knife.  I consider each knife a canvas in which I can express my thoughts feelings and creativity. I consider each of my knives a master piece. Each knife is numbered and categorized. The workmanship is guaranteed for the life of the knife!  Underneath each handle is a mark that shows that it is my work. I hope you love and enjoy knives as much as I do. My heart is to share the joy of knives and thank God for each blessing He bestows upon my family and I.
